Edward was born in London, England. He holds a bachelor's and master's degree from the University of Cambridge. He is a consultant and professor at Stanford University, California USA. He participated in the development of several of the world's largest brands, in the USA, Europe and Japan. Edward held the position of President and Professor of Design at the California College of the Arts (CCA), and taught at the Saint Martins School of Art in London, in the program Green MBA from Dominican University, California, and currently teaches at Stanford University, California. He often speaks at conferences on the subject of building a brand. He was executive vice president of California Closets. Until 2001, he founded Growers and Nomads.
